Iceland volcano shoots smoke and steam for miles

-->Clouds of volcanic ash have been causing international travel chaos again today as flights are grounded for yet another day due to the risk volcanic ash poses to aircraft engines.
The volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier has laid dormant for over 200 years and began to erupt 10 days ago, forcing hundreds of people to leave the area and leading authorities to divert flights.

When the volcano first erupted it spewed mostly fire and lava, but the latest eruption has spurted out a cloud of steam, smoke and ash up to 7 miles high, and has showed no signs of calming down after 40 hours of activity.
