Rugby World Cup 2011

The Rugby World Cup is officially underway now, it opened in New Zealand, and is reported to be the biggest event that New Zealand has ever hosted.

Tens of thousands of rugby fans decended on Auckland for the opening ceremony, and the New Zealand All Blacks won the first match, a group qualifier, beating Tonga 41-10. The All Blacks performed their world famous haka before the opening match.

Forty eight matches will be played all across New Zealand over the next six weeks in all major cities (except Christchurch), the last time this event was held in New Zealand was in 1987, the inaugural tournament, when the All Blacks won the title.

Does this mean the odds are on New Zealand to win this time round?
