Celebrity 'DNA perfume' goes on sale

Perfume made from the DNA of celebrities has gone on sale.

The Sun reports that My DNA Fragrance claims to make the scents out of DNA taken from the stars' hair. The company has joined forces with John Reznikoff, who has the world's largest collection of celebrity hair.

Fragrances have already been concocted using the DNA of stars including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The firm's chairman Carlton Enoch said: "We use the genetic code to formulate the fragrance. If you are putting on MJ's perfume, it's a unique fragrance to him. The biggest seller is Elvis, but MJ is selling very well too."

Enoch added that the scents are "strong, contain no alcohol, and use aloe vera so that the smell lasts all day and is good for the skin."

We're not sure when these DNA fragrances will be available to the general British public, but if you want to purchase the latest in celebrity perfume lines, check out the Studio website today where you'll find everything from Kylie, J-Lo, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker to Kerry Katona...

Heel-wearing competitors have this week been preparing for the National Stiletto Championship in France.

Caroline Gentien, of shoe-selling site Sarenza, said: "The finalists are training very seriously. Walking on heels is no piece of cake.

"We came up with the idea just two years ago, and this year 400 candidates signed up for the regional races."

Farmer kept tiny ducklings in the sink to protect them from cold

Although many people choose to keep a rubber duck in the bath, a farmer has taken the concept a little further and decided to keep a full brood of ducklings in his sink.

The ducklings were rescued by a farmer who feared they could die in the cold after they hatched six months earlier than usual.

To give them somewhere to swim around, the farmer kept the ducklings in the bathroom sink until they could be taken by the local animal rescue centre.

They have now been moved to Somerset’s Secret World Animal Rescue Centre, where they will live until the weather warms up in March.

Looking for a Rubber Duck for your bath? Check out this Paris Bath Massager only £19.99 and available in the choice of 2 colours.

Mark Owen marries partner Emma Ferguson

Mark Owen and Emma Ferguson reportedly tied the knot in the Scottish Highlands yesterday afternoon.

Owen, 37, arrived at Cawdor Parish Church with Take That bandmates Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange just after 4pm.

The group, dressed in black tux suits with white ties and red roses in their buttonholes, stopped to wave at fans who had congregated in the village.

Celebrations were due to continue at nearby Cawdor Castle, which the couple hired for their special day after spending holidays in the area around Nairn.

Robbie Williams was reported to be among the guests at the ceremony, having flown into Inverness Airport in a private jet on Friday night.

Owen and Ferguson became engaged in 2006 and have two children together, 3-year-old Elwood and 9-month-old Willow Rose.

Jim Carrey turns on Christmas lights

Jim Carrey has switched on the Christmas lights in Oxford Street along with a host of other celebrities.

The actor, who plays Scrooge in an upcoming performance capture-adaptation of A Christmas Carol, was joined in London by Peter Andre, The Saturdays and Spandau Ballet.

Carrey told a source: "It feels great to be a part of all this tradition.

"I want to thank the people of Britain for the legacy of Charles Dickens and the chance to tell this story. This story couldn't be more important now - it's about the immorality of greed."

Carrey's fellow cast members Colin Firth and Bob Hoskins switched on the lights at Regent Street and St Paul's Cathedral respectively.

Firth said of the lights: "Well I think it's all a bit tacky and over-the-top quite frankly, but why not? That's what Christmas is all about."
