Gwyneth Paltrow to release cookbook

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is to write a cookbook with an emphasis on enjoying food as a family.

Planned for release next year, My Father's Daughter will focus on "the importance of togetherness at mealtime, emphasising that cooking for your family is the ultimate expression of love", according to its publishers.

It is thought it will include some of the star's favourite macrobiotic recipes.

The book is the Oscar-winner's latest move into the world of food, following a recent documentary series with chef Mario Batali in which the pair travelled across Spain sampling local cuisine.

Speaking about his co-star, Batali said the Iron Man actress loves and understands good food, adding: "I had high expectations of her and she exceeded them. She's curious. She wanted to know about this stuff. She eats."

Gwyneth has previously stated that she got her love of cooking from her late father Bruce, but really got involved with food once her daughter Apple, now four, was born.
